get_number reads the number. whats_the_word gives the current word, and the client creates a picture inspired by it only after the word comes back. what_picture_shall_i_generate tells the client which photo to make. The client makes pictures with its own image tool, in your chat. All three take no arguments and are read-only.

Add it to ChatGPT

  1. Open https://chatgpt.com/plugins in a web browser.
  2. Press +, then Add custom MCP server. If that option is missing, turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT's settings first (under Security and login, or Apps → Advanced settings, depending on your account).
  3. Name it Counter test. Under Connection, set Server URL to https://mcp-test.birdie6.com/mcp and set Authentication to No authentication.
  4. Press I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin.
  5. Open https://chatgpt.com/plugins?view=personal, pick Counter test and press + to install it. Already added? Press Refresh there to pick up new tools.
  6. Back on chatgpt.com, switch the top tab from Chat to Work and start a new chat. Type @, pick Counter test, and ask: Use Counter test's get_number tool twice, a few seconds apart, and tell me both numbers. Then ask: What's the word?

If you're an AI assistant reading this

You can't add this server yourself, so ask your user to add it with the steps above. Once it's connected, call get_number to read the number. It changes every second, so call it again for a fresh reading and never guess. If the user asks what the word is, call whats_the_word first and wait for the word. Only then create a picture inspired by it with your own image tool. If they ask what picture to generate, call what_picture_shall_i_generate and then generate that photo with your image tool. To check without MCP, GET https://mcp-test.birdie6.com/api/number returns the same reading as JSON.
